1 in 3 Gen Z feel addicted to fast fashion

As I was taking an online motion design course to expand my current skills, I used one of the assignments to create an animated piece in context with a blog article I had read recently. ThredUp, a secondhand retail platform, conducted a survey about Gen Z’s fast fashion consumption and published some alarming results: 1 in 3 Gen Z feel addicted to fast fashion. As a result, the platform created a hotline to help them overcome their addiction.

To represent the problem (fast-fashion addiction) and the solution (hotline) in a short looped animation, I’ve worked on a sharp transition. For the art direction, I’ve researched trends amongts Gen Zs for this animation to better resonate with them and moved forward with "Y2K" (Year 2000) graphics.
